The work
Rubber roofing in one piece
EPDM is a synthetic rubber membrane supplied in wide sheets. On a typical garage or extension roof it goes down as one piece, bonded to the insulation or deck, with the edges dressed into trims and taken up the abutments.
It stays flexible in cold weather, it is not degraded by ultraviolet light the way old felt was, and because there are no joints in the middle of the roof there is nothing there to fail. Corners and outlets are made up with matching flashing pieces.
