How long does a re-roof take?

Do I need scaffolding?

Will a new roof need building control approval?

Replacing more than a quarter of a roof covering is notifiable work under the building regulations, so most full re-roofs are. Confirm with us at the quote stage how the notification is being handled on your job, because it decides what paperwork you end up with.

Can I stay in the house while the roof is replaced?

Yes. It is noisy and there is scaffold up, but the roof is never left open, so the house stays weathertight throughout. Cover or move anything stored in the loft, because stripping a roof brings down a lot of dust.
