The work
Boards that hold the gutter up
A fascia board does real work: it takes the weight of a full gutter, and on many houses it also holds the bottom course of tiles in line. When it softens, brackets pull out and the gutter starts to sag and overflow, which then wets the wall below.
Soffits close the gap under the eaves. Sealed solid, they stop the roof space ventilating and encourage condensation in the loft, so we fit vented soffit or over-fascia vents as part of the work.

- Ventilation is treated as part of the job rather than an extra.
- Boards fitted level so the gutter run is right.
